Notification for 5,905 Anganwadi posts to be released soon
Andhra Pradesh government has decided to fill the Anganwadi posts district wise across the state. The AP government accepts applications from applicants and holds interviews to fill 5905 Anganwadi posts. This entire selection process is taken up by the committee formed under district collectors’ presence. Anganwadis, mini Anganwadi workers, helpers’ posts will be filled very soon. Interviews are being held for applicants’ convenience at the revenue division.
The State government has released huge funds for Anganwadi centers and by giving top priority to it, it is going to fill huge Anganwadi vacancies in the state. Among Anganwadi posts 4007 Anganwadi helpers, 430 mini Anganwadi workers, 1468 main Anganwadi workers to be filled very soon by the state authorities.
A few vacancies have been filled by the concerned authorities while a notification has been released for a huge number of vacancies.
3102 applications received for 654 posts in Anantapur District
The committee formed by district collectors is conducting interviews for the selection of various posts from Monday onwards in Anantapur district. Based on 654 posts in 2019 which are unfilled, 3102 applications received so far to fill 654 posts.
The State government has set the minimum qualification for these posts to apply for is SSC or 10th class or matriculation. The salaries for the main Anganwadi workers are Rs. 11,500, Mini-Anganwadi workers are Rs. 7000/- will be given. For helpers, Rs. 7000/- will be offered.
Posts to be filled transparently
There should be 48,770 workers in Anganwadi centers in the state. However, currently, 47,302 workers are there. The State government, therefore, is prepared to fill the remaining 1,468 vacancies in the state. As of now, 44,763 Anganwadi workers are employed out of 48,770 workers. Remain 4,007 helper posts to be filled very soon. There should be 6,837 helpers in the state.
But 6,407 workers are working. Therefore, out of 6837 posts, the remaining 430 posts will be filed soon. ICDS project director Kruthika Shukla said that Anganwadi posts should be filled according to government guidelines in a transparent manner and select the eligible candidates on the basis of merit.
