Information and Public Relations commissioner Vijaykumar Reddy on Sunday said that “Jagananna Vidya Kanuka” is slated to be launched on 8th October by Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. As part of Jagananna Vidya Kanuka, the Andhra Pradesh government is going to provide Vidya Kanuka worth of Rs. 650 crores to a total of 42,34,322 government students.
Jagananna Vidya Kanuka Date Confirmed
The students who are studying in all government, as well as aided schools from I to SSC, will be given the kits. The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to offer the Vidya kanuka kit consisting of 3 pairs of uniforms, one pair of shoes, two pairs of sacks, one belt, one set of textbooks, notebooks, one school bag.
The AP CM himself examined some samples of the kits to know the quality of the kits at his camp office. The AP CM YS Jagan has already mentioned that the State would witness the school dropout drastically and determined to educate every student in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Jagananna Vidya Kanuka Scheme Details
The State Government has kept deferring the distribution of Kits due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
In the wake of Covid-19, Andhra Pradesh government schools were requested to hire a sanitary worker in school with Rs. 5000/- per month, which would be collected from the Amma Vodi scheme.
Most of the students prefer online teaching over the conventional ways of teaching due to corona. The AP Government schools, as per the guidelines laid down by the state government, are required to get biometric authentication from parents of students.
Students are getting troubles to study due to a lack of academy books. Meanwhile, the government students were requested to buy academy books in the open market to follow online lessons being aired on the Sapthagiri channel and clear doubts.
