Movie Verdict
Throughout his career, Mahesh Babu has created a number of experimental films, including Khaleja and 1 Nenokkadine. Unfortunately, none of the experimental films did well at the box office, so Mahesh Babu was placed in a safe zone. His commercially successful films include Srimanthudu, Bharath Ane Nenu, Maharshi, and Sarileru Neekevvaru. However, all Mahesh Babu fans and moviegoers miss the old Mahesh Babu, but Sarkaru Vaari Paata provides a glimpse of the old Mahesh Babu.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata contains all commercial components that will appeal to a broad audience. Director Parasuram Petla cleverly introduced the Hero’s world with the song “Penny” to create a perfect introduction to the film’s hero. Beautiful songs, Mahesh Babu’s performance, and the Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh song gave the first half an excellent start. The conflict between Mahesh Babu and Samuthirakani begins in the second half, which works out very well.
When it comes to performances, Sarkaru Vaari Paata is undeniably a one-man show, and Mahesh Babu as Mahi has absolutely nailed it, as we all know what a passionate actor he is. Numerous scenes in the film feature Mahesh Babu’s brilliant acting, and the film’s other highlight is his comic timing, which can be considered one of Mahesh Babu’s best performances. Last but not least, Keerthy Suresh as Kalvathi simply killed it, her way of doing comedy scenes is brilliant; you’ll see why Keerthy was cast in this film after watching it; and finally, Samuthirakani as Rajendranath was brilliant as usual; we can’t say much about his actions because he expresses so much through his eyes; however, the dubbing could have been better, and the rest of the cast did well.
As evidenced by the film, director Parasuram Petla did an excellent job; it is one of the best-written scripts in Parasuram’s career, and he blends all of the commercial elements together flawlessly. The best aspect of Sarkaru Vaari Paata is its setting: finance, money, and con artists have all come together to create a new world.
The cinematography of R Madhi is excellent, but the oversaturated colors he employed could have been much better. The highlight of the film is the background score by Sarkaru Vaari Paat; Thaman never disappoints with his background score, as he took the background score to the next level in a number of scenes in this film, and the rest of the technical department did well.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Mahesh Babu’s one-man show, is unquestionably worth seeing in theatres.
