Nagarjuna Akkineni is playing the role of NIA in the upcoming action thriller film Wild Dog. This film is on basis of bomb blast incidents that occurred in the city of Hyderabad. This film was inspired by the National Investigation Agency which performed an operation following the serial blasts that happened in Hyderabad in 2007.

Nagarjuna was given training with respect to combating fights with terrorists by international choreographer David Ismalone who worked on several acclaimed projects like Fast and Furious 7, Ong-Bak: Muan Thai Warrior.
