Panchathantram Movie Review: After two years of anticipation, the film was released. The movie’s creators, however, chose to delay its release until it was more appropriate. The movie was released today, December 9, 2022. The trailer and teaser piqued people’s interest and made them more eager to watch the whole film. Brahmanandam, a comedian, too made a brief appearance. Let’s see if the movie’s worth it by reading the review.

Story
The five stories that comprise Panchathantram each deal with their own set of difficulties. All five senses (smell, taste, touch, and hearing/vision) are explored in these short stories. The final four tales reveal how the senses interact and whether or not the protagonists achieve their objectives.

Movie Verdict
There’s such a wonderful range of human experiences on display in this film. Brahmanandam, in character as Vyas, begins reciting the tales of the five occurrences. The stories then begin, and we get to see Shivani Rajasekar’s Lekha and Rahul Vijay’s Subhash having interesting talks and reveal more about their personalities as the stories progress.
The film’s main flaw is its plodding pace, despite the fact that it features engaging characters and a compelling story. The second half of the film, in which we see the struggles, triumphs, and internal states of our five protagonists, is what truly draws us in and keeps us watching until the very end. To get to the satisfying conclusion, you have to endure the movie’s plodding narrative.
In spite of the stellar supporting cast, the film ultimately succeeds because to the presence of comedic superstar Brahmanandam. Vyas was the man, and his storytelling and comedic timing made him a delight to watch on film. Swathi has also performed admirably despite her limited screen time. Samuthirakani’s performance was fantastic once again, and he won over the crowd. Reasons for his actions in such scenes include his acute sense of smell.
The director Harsha Pulipaka deserves much of the credit for bringing this fantastic tale to our attention. He did a wonderful job with all five tales, despite a few issues with the writing, such as the fact that many of the characters do not receive happy endings and the narration could have utilised a bit more raunchy language. He used all five senses to keep the audience engaged throughout the film.
There are several visually appealing episodes, Raj K. Shravan Bharadwaj and Prashanth R Vihari did an incredible job behind the camera, while the rest of the cast and crew did a good job as well.
All in all, Panchathantram is a gorgeous medley of universal human emotions that will touch the hearts of many.
