Actor Mahendran, who began his career as a child artist and later gained widespread recognition with his role in Master, is now carving a niche for himself as a lead actor. Now, Nilakanta is all set to get a fresh lease of life on digital platforms. The makers have officially announced that the action drama will premiere on the Sun NXT OTT platform in both Tamil and Telugu languages on February 06, 2026. The digital release is expected to help the film reach a wider audience who may have missed it in theatres.
Directed and written by Rakesh Madhavan, Nilakanta is produced by M. Srinivasulu and D. Venugopal. The film’s technical team includes Sravan G Kumar, who handled both cinematography and editing, while Mark Prashanth composed the music.
The cast of Nilakanta features Master Mahendran in the lead role, alongside Yashna Muthuluri, Neha Pathan, Sneha Ullal, Ramki, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Shubalekha Sudhakar, Bharath Reddy, Satya Prakash, Chitram Seenu, and Shivakarthik Danda in key roles.
