Middle Class Melodies Review
In this movie Anand Devarakonda is playing the role of Raghava. The character is hot-headed guy who believes his dish which is called Bombay Chutney is the best in the business and wants to set up his own tiffin centre in Guntur. The movie later show cases how will he make his dream come true.
Raghava learns the Bombay Chutney dish from his mother Lakshmi played by Surabhi Prabhavathi. His father Kondala rao is played by Goparaju Ramana is a loud man who owns a tiffin centre and nudges his sons always. With his parents support, he movies to the big city Guntur to make all his dream come true. Sandhya played by Varsha Bollamma is in love with Raghava for years and struggles to get closer to him. But Raghava’s first priority is always Bombay Chutney.
Let’s talk about the direction here: Right from the first scene itself the director makes it clear that there will be no silly heroism shows and music in this tale. Raghav’s supporting characters are Gopal played by Chaitanya Gairikipati who is obsessed with horoscopes, He leaves a girl Gautami played by Divya Sripada. A girl he loves because she was born at a particular time.
The plus point of the movie is the supporting characters have dominated the show completely with their performances which is very natural. The father role played by Goparaju ramana is the show stealer of the movie. His dialogues and body language is absolutely top notch.
Anand Deverakonda has improved a lot in his work, This character has quite suitable for his charisma. He has worked very hard in this movie and it is quite definite that he is the future star. Varsha Bollama the lead actress is quite impressive in her work and the duo has some wonderful chemistry between them.
The visuals of the movie are wonderful, The movie is shot mostly in and around Guntur. The film gives the feel of the small-town vibes. Editing could have been a bit better, Its not bad but it can be better. Dialogue writing is wonderful.
The story is very simple yet very effective, The director has focused on capturing the small town dreams and the life of Guntur Rural areas. The dialogues, the backdrop, and the performances are natural. The first half of the movie focuses only on the hero trying to open the tiffin center, the humor factor is wonderful between the hero and the father.
To add more masala into the movie, Tharun Bhascker is introduced into the scenes at the very end but it isn’t quite effective. The love story sequence between the hero’s friend and his girlfriend is fun at times but it is a bit dragged on in some sequences.
The final conclusion of the movie is Middle Class Melodies attracts the people who want to dream big. It is a decent entertainer.
