Story
Dongata is a story about an ordinary couple, Prasad (Suraj Venjaramood) and Sreeja (Nimisha Sajayan). They are newlyweds who are struggling to adjust to their new lives as a result of their inter cast marriage. Despite the fact that Prasad and Sreeja decided to sell her gold chain for survival, a cunning and yet innocent thief stole the gold chain during the bus ride. The couple filed a case against the thief, and the police began questioning him, but he refuses to accept responsibility for the crime. Will he finally accept the case, and what follows is the rest of the story?

Movie Verdict
This trio of Fahadh Faasil, Suraj Venjaramood, and Nimish Sajayan is sufficient for this film. Dileesh Pothen has done an incredible job creating some endearing characters that are relatable to our everyday lives. Though the film has a straightforward plot, Dileesh Pothen manages to make it so beautiful.
Fahadh Faasil’s performance as the thief is effortless, as his innocence and cunningness carry the character. Suraj Venjaramoodu also did an excellent job portraying a middle-class husband’s thought process and body language, and Nimisha Sajayan is one of the best actresses we have, as she fits perfectly in the role of a middle-class housewife. and the rest of the cast did an excellent job.
Dileesh Pothen succeeds in creating relatable characters and maintains audience engagement; comedy and interrogation scenes work well; however, the pace of the film is a little slow; however, once you begin traveling with the characters, you will enjoy the film.
Dongata is technically brilliant, as demonstrated by Rajeev Ravi in close-up shots. Bijipal’s music fits seamlessly into any scene.
Finally. Donagata is a must-see film due to its outstanding performances and heartwarming story. Do not miss this film; stream it on Aha; you will adore it.
