The Telugu film Papam Prathap, starring Thiruveer, is gearing up for its OTT release after completing its theatrical run earlier this year. Known for choosing unconventional and meaningful roles, Thiruveer once again experimented with a unique concept in this village-based drama that revolves around a rare sleep disorder.
Despite decent promotional efforts by the team, Papam Prathap managed to deliver only an average performance at the box office following its theatrical release. However, the film is now looking to find a wider audience through its digital premiere. It has been officially confirmed that the movie will start streaming on ETV Win from May 7, 2026.
Interestingly, ETV Win is not just the streaming partner but also part of the film’s production, securing its post-theatrical digital rights early on. This move highlights the growing trend of OTT platforms backing regional films from the production stage itself.
The film features a strong supporting cast including Ajay Ghosh, Raasi, Payal Radhakrishna, Devi Prasad, Goparaju Ramana, Ravi Anthony, Raghu Babu, Prasad Behra, Ananth Babu, Basha, and Srinivas Avasarala, among others, who play key roles in the narrative.
Papam Prathap is written and directed by S.P. Durga Naresh, while Gaddam Rakesh Reddy and Rudradev Madhi Reddy have produced the project. The film’s music is composed by K.M. Radha Krishna, with cinematography handled by S.V. Vishweshwar and editing by Anwar Ali.
